ITINERARY
Day 1 – Dar es Salaam – Mikumi National Park
You will be picked up from Dar es Salaam Airport or ferry and drive to Mikumi National Park (approx. 5–6 hours). After lunch, enjoy a late afternoon game drive through Visada, Kisungura Circuit, Mkata Drive, and Obama Circuit. Spot hippos, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, and colorful birdlife such as lilac rollers and saddle-billed storks. Dinner and overnight at TANAPA Mikumi Cottages.

Day 2 – Full-Day Game Drive in Mikumi + Maasai Village Visit
After breakfast, embark on a full-day game drive across Mikumi's plains, home to lions, elephants, buffaloes, impalas, zebras, and wildebeests. Enjoy lunch at a picnic site inside the park. In the evening, visit a Maasai village (boma) for a cultural experience before returning to Camp Lilac Mikumi for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 – Drive to Ruaha National Park + Evening Game Drive
Depart Mikumi after breakfast and drive approximately 5 hours to Ruaha National Park. After lunch, enjoy an afternoon-to-evening game drive along the Great Ruaha River, spotting elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, and hippos. Dinner and overnight at TANAPA Ruaha Cottages.

Day 4 – Full-Day Game Drive in Ruaha National Park
Spend the day exploring Ruaha's wilderness along the Great Ruaha River, Mwagusi Sand River, and Mdonya River. Spot buffaloes, elephants, lions, leopards, antelopes, and colorful birdlife. Enjoy a bush lunch before continuing until sunset. Dinner and overnight at TANAPA Ruaha Cottages.

Day 5 – Morning Game Drive in Ruaha – Drive to Mikumi
Wake up early for a morning game drive in Ruaha until 8:30 am. After breakfast, continue with another short drive before lunch. In the afternoon, transfer back to Mikumi town for dinner and overnight at Camp Lilac Mikumi.

Day 6 – Udzungwa Mountains National Park Hike
After breakfast, transfer to Udzungwa Mountains National Park (approx. 45 minutes). Begin a guided trek to Sanje Waterfalls (3–4 hours), encountering monkeys such as the rare Iringa red colobus, ancient trees, and lush tropical forests. Return to Camp Lilac Mikumi for dinner and overnight.

Day 7 – Mikumi – Dar es Salaam
After breakfast, drive 5–6 hours back to Dar es Salaam, stopping for lunch en route. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at the airport, ferry, or your hotel. This marks the end of your safari adventure.
